1. Introduction
1-2 Call Drainage & Groundwork Limited (1-2 Call) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business and supply chains. We recognize our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are dedicated to ensuring ethical practices across our operations.
2. Our Business
1-2 Call provides drainage services, including installation, maintenance, and emergency response. We employ 5 staff members and work with a range of suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. We are committed to upholding human rights and ensuring our business and supply chain remain free from exploitation.
3. Our Commitment
We oppose all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and exploitation. To achieve this, we commit to:
• Ensuring all employees and subcontractors have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Paying fair wages that meet or exceed the National Minimum Wage.
• Providing a safe and respectful workplace, free from discrimination and abuse.
• Conducting due diligence on our supply chain to identify and mitigate risks.
4. Identifying and Mitigating Risk
We take a proactive approach to prevent modern slavery by:
• Verifying the identity and work eligibility of all employees and subcontractors.
• Conducting regular audits and risk assessments of our supply chain.
• Ensuring all suppliers and contractors adhere to our ethical standards.
• Providing employees with channels to report concerns confidentially.
5. Supplier & Contractor Expectations
We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to:
• Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and other relevant labour laws.
• Implement policies to prevent modern slavery in their operations.
• Ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and voluntary employment. • Allow audits and provide transparency in their recruitment and labour practices.
6. Employee Responsibilities
All employees have a duty to report any concerns regarding modern slavery. Reports can be made confidentially to [Shaun Gilboy or Liam Wintin]. We will investigate all concerns and take appropriate action.
7. Training & Awareness
We provide training on modern slavery awareness for employees, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management.
8. Reporting & Compliance
Failure to comply with this policy may result in termination of contracts, disciplinary action, or reporting to legal authorities. We review this policy annually to ensure its effectiveness.
9. Approval & Review
